Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, 84, who was elected
Malaysia’s new king late last year, was officially enthroned as the 14th
king last April 12 in a televised ceremony in the yellow carpet throne room of
the new hilltop palace in the capital Kuala Lumpur, reports Royal News Blog. He was proclaimed by Prime
Minister Najib Razak amidst an audience of Malaysian sultans, government ministers
and foreign dignitaries.
