Prince arranges for measles vaccination in the Philippines

Prince Charles

A CNN report revealed that Prince Charles has arranged for the delivery of five million measles and rubella vaccine with the hope of rescuing over 5,000 lives afflicted by measles. After being hit by Typhoon Haiyan in November last year, more than over 15,600 cases of measles have been reported by the Phippine Department of Health. Prince Charles was in India when Haiyan struck the Philippines. Two days after the typhoon made its landfall, the Prince visited Serum Institute in Pune, the world's largest manufacturer of measles vaccine. The International Health Partners, one of the prince's charity, will deliver the said vaccine.
