Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, is home to the illustrious Churchill family and the seat of the dukes of Marlborough. With Christmas fast approaching, Blenheim Palace becomes even more enticing for travelers eager to experience the festive holiday feel in a grand, palatial manner. Palace staff has painstakingly prepared to offer something extraordinary for guests this Christmas. Beginning November 23, 2018 until January 6, 2019, the state rooms are transformed to make way for the Cinderella experience during the day while the Parkland gives strollers the warmth they need with the bigger and better Christmas light trail.

The Cinderella Experience






Step in the palace’s Great Hall and begin your Cinderella experience. Enter the Stepmother’s drawing room set for Afternoon Tea while the Ugly Sister’s room, though bright and bold, are littered with clothes, books and shoes. In Cinderella’s room, you will find her delicate hand-made gown!

The palace’s Long Library is transformed into a glass-inspired Ballroom, which beam with laughter and dance. The palace’s candle-lit chapel features the Wishing Tree where you can hang your wishes.
Drop by the Stables and check out the dressing up box. Then, don the period clothes that you can find and be the King, Queen, Prince or Princess for the day. Don’t forget to have a souvenir shot taken by carriages and pumpkins to make your Cinderella moment unforgettable.

The Christmas Market



The palace’s Great Court will host the Christmas Market where 80 chalets are installed and guests can shop for irresistible gifts, ranging from ceramics, textiles, homewares, and leather goods to jewellery, toys, stationery, bags and many more!

The Illuminated Winter Trail



The Blenheim Palace winter trail brightens with lasers, projections, and thousands of pea-lights. The Formal Gardens come to life at night where guests can take a journey to explore and wonder the place. Interesting tree canopies drenched in seasonal colour, shards of light, frosty snowflakes, stars and glistening baubles, and catch a glimpse of Santa and his elves along the way. Highlights include a new Field of Light, scented Fire Garden, Canopy of Light, and the mesmerizing voices of the Singing Trees.
