The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at 50

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester has reached a milestone in their married life as they celebrate their golden wedding anniversary last July 8. 

To mark this milestone, Kensington Palace has released a new photograph of the couple earlier this week. It features the royal couple looking happy and relaxed while on the garden of their home at Kensington Palace. 

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, married the Danish-born Birgitte Eva van Deurs in 1972. Their wedding took place at St. Andrew's Church on Barnwell Manor, the Northamptonshire estate of the groom's parents, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester. You can read more about their wedding here.
