December 17, 1877 - Birth of Hermine Reuss of Greiz

 

Born on December 1, 1877, Hermine was the fourth daughter and fifth of six children of Heinrich XXII, Prince Reuss of Greiz, and his wife, Princess Ida Mathilde Adelheid of Schaumburg-Lippe. She is popularly remembered today as the second wife of Kaiser Wilhelm II, whom she married on November 5, 1922 in Doorn, the Netherlands. Read more about here life here.
