Wanted, Dishwasher: Queen in need of ‘General Catering Assistant’

Wanted: Dishwasher in service of Her Majesty The Queen

It is now known that Her Majesty is in need of a traveling dishwasher who will “work for up three months every year around her palaces,” reports The Daily Mail. A recent advertisement in the Royal Family’s official website puts that the Queen needs a ‘General Catering Assistant’,’ as it is formally known, who will ‘work for 40 hours per week on the team "responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the staff restaurant."

The job requires the applicant to be “punctual and reliable,” “able to work well in a team and have a flexible and willing attitude.” He should also be “happy to travel and work at other royal residences in the UK and at weekends.”

“You must be willing to work away at other royal residences for approximately three months of the year,” and must be willing to “ensure smooth operation of the staff restaurant.”

“You will join the team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the staff restaurant, (and) wash-up areas and equipment in accordance with the health and hygiene regulations.”

The post, it said, will pay £14,200-a-year for the lucky applicant.
