The week with the British royals

 Christmas is truly in the air. Once again, it’s been another busy week for our favourite British royals. It is saddening to learn though, that the omicron surged had to force  Queen Elizabeth II to cancel the family’s annual  pre-Christmas lunch . Still, amidst this scenario, the British Royal Family continues to keep a busy schedule. Here’s what they’ve been un to this week.   December 18

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall releases this heart-warming photograph, where they are seen standing by their Christmas at Clarence House. This photograph was shared as part of the Brighter Christmas Campaign of Age UK  and the Silverline UK, where the royal couple urged everyone to “remember your older friends and relatives over the festive season.”

December 16

The Duchess of Cornwall decorates the Christmas tree at Clarence House. And for this huge a task, she needed the help of her young guests. Here she welcomed children  supported by  Helen and Douglas House  and  Roald Dahl Fund  to decorate the Christmas tree.

Those who were invited were given this festive welcome to the tune of Christmas carols by the band of the Welsh Guards.

Queen Elizabeth II has welcomed Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman, and  his wife,  the Hon. Lady at Windsor Castle. Later that day, Prince Charles had also met the Sultan.

Prince Charles has knighted seven-time  F1  World Champion at the Investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.

Princess Anne also invested honours to worthy individuals. Here she awards children’s author and illustrator, Anthony Browne with a a CBE for his services to literature.
